Jacques Izopet MD-PhD

Biographic Summary

Jacques Izopet (PhD) is Professor of Virology at Toulouse University and head of the Federative Institute of Biology at Toulouse University Hospital. He is also head of a research team in the Pathophysiology Center of Toulouse-Purpan – INSERM UMR 1043/CNRS 5282. This team is interested in viral persistence, host response and pathophysiology. His research is focussed on HIV tropism and hepatitis E virus infection in immunocompetent and immunocompromised patients. He has published over 450 papers in international journals.
